39th All India Moot Court Competition by Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry [Jan 21-23, 2022]: Last date to Register- Dec 27

Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry, as a pioneering school in India to conduct Moot Court Contests, holds national level moot court competitions on a variety of topics every year with the goal of training law students in the practical aspects of court procedure.

During the competition, law students/participants are separated into teams and are expected to debate on a specific subject in front of a panel of Judges, just as they would in a court of law, in order to perfect their advocacy abilities and succeed in the legal profession. In front of dignitaries, the finest performers are handed cash prizes.

Since its foundation, the institution has held 45 National Moot Court Competitions, including 5 Regional Language (Tamil) Moot Court Competitions and one All India Women Moot Court Competition solely for female students.

Eligibility

Only bona fide undergraduate students enrolled in a 5 year or 3 year LLB degree at any university, college, or institution are eligible to participate (recognised by the Bar Council of India).

Dr. Ambedkar Govt. Law College is located at Mathur Road in Kalapet, Puducherry 605014.

Procedure for Registration

• Institutions interested in sending a team to this Moot Court Competition should submit an email to draglc.pdy.mcs@gmail.com to tentatively register for the competition.
• Provisional registration will close on December 27, 2021. Colleges that send in provisional registration mailings will receive a confirmation e-mail.
• On or before January 6, 2022, the participating team must send a hard copy of the Registration Form, along with a DD and a travel form.
• The Registration Form should be mailed to The Principal, Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Mathur Road, Kalapet, Puducherry – 605014, along with a demand draught

Information on Fees

Each participating team’s registration cost is Rs. 2500/-, payable solely by DD made in favour of The Principal, Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry, payable in Puducherry.

Deadlines

• Provisional Registration via e-mail closes on December 27, 2021.
