The college was founded in 2012 as an addition to the illustrious Mar Ivanios Vidyanagar Campus, which was founded in 1949 by Servant of God Archbishop Geevarghese Mar Ivanios.
In honour of Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios, who was destined to direct the fate of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church for more than four decades, the College of Law has been renamed “Mar Gregorios College of Law.”
Concerning the Conference
It is vital to raise public knowledge about women’s basic human rights, with a particular focus on reproductive rights. We will only be able to develop a society that respects, defends, and guarantees basic human rights to its women if we educate at the grassroots level.
The Conference’s Objectives
- To raise awareness among the general public that reproductive rights are basic human rights.
- To create a forum for open conversation about women’s reproductive health.
The Conference’s Expected Outcomes
- Increasing public awareness
- A study recommending policy changes
- More programmes and projects connected to women’s welfare and empowerment should be planned.
- Make recommendations for improvements and improved implementation.
- Papers are being solicited.
- Scholars are asked to submit abstracts and papers on the following subjects or topics to share their perspectives:

- Reproductive choice of women as a fundamental right – a legal & constitutional analysis

- Feminist jurisprudence on reproductive rights of women
The guidelines for paper submission are as follows:
- The abstract should be no more than 300 words long and contain keywords. Abstracts must be received by October 30, 2021, in order to be published in the seminar proceedings.
- The whole paper should be between 5000 and 8000 words long (excluding footnotes).
- On or before November 22, 2021, the full paper must be submitted.
- By December 2021, a collection of entire presentations presented during the Conference will be published in a book.
- If there are more than two authors on a paper, each must register separately and pay the registration cost. Only registered authors will receive the certificate.
Formatting Rules
- Abstracts in Times New Roman font, with size 12pt and line spacing 1, with key wordsat the end of abstract in italics.
- All submissions must follow the Bluebook (20th Edition) style of citation; non-conformity will be a ground for rejection.
- Submissions must be in Times New Roman font, with size 12pt and line spacing 1.5.
- All footnotes must be in Times New Roman font, with size 10pt and line spacing 1.
- Title of the Paper- Times New Roman Font, size 14pt.
- The authors name should be mentioned on the Right side of title in Times NewRoman Font, 12pt size. All other details like designation, institution details, E-mailaddress and phone numbers etc., should be given as foot note.
- Submissions must be made in .doc/.doc formats only. All the abstracts shall be mailed to mgclcwl@mgcl.ac.in

- Before October 30, 2021, you must register.
- The deadline for submitting an abstract is October 30, 2021.
- The conference and paper presentation will be place on November 20, 2021.
- The deadline for the final submission is November 22, 2021.
