The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law’s Centre for Advanced Study in International Humanitarian Law (CASH) is a prestigious research centre committed to research in the field of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). Its goal is to guarantee that future leaders and opinionmakers understand the practical importance of IHL and are well-versed in its fundamental concepts.
When there are major and widespread violations of IHL, the legislation is sometimes blamed. Such infractions should, of course, compel the international community to act; nevertheless, rather than rushing to change the laws, it is critical to determine the specific nature of the problem.
