The IMS Law Review Journal ( Student Edition ) is an annual, student-edited, peer-reviewed journal published by IMS Unison University’s School of Law. This journal was founded with the goal of encouraging ingenuity, brilliance, and novelty in order to solve various contemporary legal issues, as well as to promote the culture of research and academic writing among law students.

Papers submitted for publication in the IMS Law review journal must be original and have not been previously published.

Types of Submissions
Articles should be between 2000 and 3000 words long. (These are evaluations of specific contemporary issues with the goal of conceptualising the issues in a novel and unconventional way. The evaluation of current issues will be appreciated, but not required).
1000-2000 words for case notes/comments (These are assessments of the purpose and legal significance of recent judgments and legislation.)
Essays should be between 3000 and 4000 words long.

  • Margin: 1” from all sides
  • Alignment: Justified

Relevant Submission Guidelines
As part of the submission, an abstract of approximately 250-300 words and 5 keywords must be included in the same word document.

The title should be bold, underlined, in capitals, size 16, and aligned centre.
Headings should be bold, in capital letters, size 14, and aligned to the left.
The author’s identity should not be indicated or referenced in any way, either directly or indirectly, in the contents (s).
The submission must be unique and non-plagiarized. They should be creative in their thinking, critical in their evaluation, and cautious in their interpretations. The submission of a paper implies that it is an unpublished work that is not being considered for publication elsewhere.

The author(s) must include a cover letter in the body of the email that includes all relevant biographical information (name of the author(s), degrees, designation, name of college/university/institution, postal address(es), phone number, and e-mail ID).

A cover letter attached as a separate attachment will not be considered.
The manuscript must be accompanied by a cover letter indicating the category for which it is intended, i.e. Article/Essay/Case Comment/Book Review.
Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two members. Co-authorship is not permitted in “case notes/comments.”

Submission Procedure

Submissions must be made electronically and sent to imslrw@iuu.ac in Microsoft Word (.doc or.docx) format. The attached submission in the email, i.e. the name of the document, must be the author’s name(s) (s).

For IMS Law Review, the subject line of the email must be ‘Article/Essay/Case Comment.’ Please keep in mind that only one submission per author or team of co-authors is permitted. In the event that more than one submission is received, only the one received first will be considered for review.

Deadline for Submissions
The manuscript must be submitted by March 30, 2022, before 11:59 p.m.
There will be a rigorous review process, and the authors will be kept informed of the status of their manuscript at all stages.
