Call for Editors: Associate & Assistant Editors at Indian Review of Advanced Legal Research (IRALR)

  About IRALR

The Indian Review of Advanced Legal Research (IRALR) is aimed to act as a platform for promoting high-quality legal research and writing on a variety of legal issues among the budding legal minds of India.

Our primary objective is to develop a sense of enthusiasm towards legal research among young law students and provide them with a platform to exhibit their skills in a way that is helpful to the legal fraternity across India. In our endeavour, we will provide a range of opportunities to law students in India to hone their knowledge and legal research skills. We will attempt to host various competitions such as blog/article writing competitions, judgement writing competition and the like to engage students in a range of highly effective activities which will supplement their academics as well as research skills.

The IRALR Editorial Board is willing to expand its editorial team and thus inviting applications for the post of Associate and Assistant Editors.

   Editorial Positions and Eligibility Requirements

i.               Associate Editors

Number of positions: Two

Eligibility: A student studying in the 3rd,4th or 5th year in a 5-year law programme and a student of the 2nd and 3rd year in a 3-year law programme enrolled in any recognised law university and/or college across India.

Prior editorial experience is not mandatory but shall be highly preferred. Preference shall also be given to those applicants who have notable publications in the form of research papers, blogs, case comments, legislative comments etc.

Assistant Editors

Number of positions: Four

Eligibility: A student studying in 2nd or 3rd year in a 5-year law programme and a student of the 1st year in a 3-year law programme enrolled in any recognised law university and/or college across India.

Prior editorial experience is not mandatory but shall be highly preferred.

Note: The Editorial Board will be reconstituted every 3 months or earlier as per the discretion of the IRALR Team. Reappointment shall be based on the performance of the editor and the consideration of the IRALR Team.

3.     Procedure for applying

The interested candidates are expected to fill the Google Form available through the link provided below for the purpose of applying for the above-mentioned editorial positions.

Note: Any application sent via email or any other form shall not be entertained and considered.

4.     Deadline

The last date to apply through the Google Form is December 05, 2020.

5.     Perks & Benefits of being associated with IRALR

i.               None of the above-mentioned positions are paid. The Blog works as a free to access and publish policy and hence no remuneration/honorarium shall be provided to any of the editors.

ii.             Working as an editor with IRALR will surely help one to polish their legal research, writing and editing skills.

iii.            A certificate may be provided to the persons who associate with the IRALR Editorial Board acknowledging their work and contribution towards IRALR.
