The Faculty of Law, Osmania University has a glorious history of more than 100 years. The “Law Class” was started in the year 1899 to give instruction in law to the students desirous of joining legal profession along with “Judicial Test” classes for Judicial Officers.

About the Workshop

Faculty of Law, Osmania University is organising a Ten Days Online Workshop on Effective Teaching, Learning and Research in Law: COVID-19 Challenges.This workshop would aim at addressing the issues of effective learning, teaching and research. The primary objectives of the workshop are to:

  1. Train the participants and update their knowledge for best teaching methodology and practices.
  2. Analyze the effects of Covid-19 on different avenues of Legal Research Teaching and Learning.
  3. Understand the impact of New Education Policy 2020 on Legal Education.
  4. Enable the participants, understand the role of a Law Teacher in effective teaching and learning.
  5. Enhance the skills of the participants in effective use of ICT in Law teaching and research.

Themes

The Workshop would focus on a range of subjects relating to Legal Research. Some illustrative areas are indicated below:

Eligibility

  1. The course is for Law Teachers and Research Scholars in Law from recognized Universities, Colleges and Research Institutions.
  2. Any Full-Time, Ad-hoc, Part-Time, Visiting faculty and Part-Time, Full-Time researchers in law are eligible for the Course.
  3. The applicants must have completed their LLM and must be teaching or doing research.

  • The applications would be accepted on a first-come-first basis subject to eligibility.
  • The decision of the Coordinator regarding the selection of candidates would be final.
  • The tentative timings of the course would be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM every day, comprising of 2 sessions.
  • The detailed schedule of the workshop would be shared with the selected participants.

Certificate

The participants would be given Online Certificate [Electronic form only] upon successful completion of the course.
