The Centre for Law & Economics is a centre of excellence for cutting-age research and training in the discipline of Law & Economics (also referred as the Economic Analysis of Law).
Centre will begin its Activity in new year with new area of research i.e. Economic analysis of contract Law with a case study of ‘the contract for the construction of Bridges between Denmark and Sweden’.

About the Course and its Objective

The objective behind this course is that Corporations are increasingly involved in devising contracts and contract relationships that can enable the best possible cooperation between the parties. This requires an understanding of the economic role served by contract clauses. The course provides an introduction to the economic theory of contract and contract law, and illustrates the application of economic theory to remedies for breach of contract, change orders and conflict resolution schemes, and the allocation of risk of changed circumstances.

Course Duration

The duration of the course will be one week starting from 11 – 15 January 2016.

Resource Person

Dr. Henerik Lando – Professor in Law and Economics, Department of Law, Copenhagen Business School and Professor of Private Law, Oslo University.

Course Fee Structure

For Participants (without accommodation): INR 2000/-
With accommodation (non AC room): INR 4500/- (500 per day)
* Participant has to bear additional costs for food as per GNLU Caterers charges.
