About TNNLU
The Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) is a statutory university established by the Government of Tamil Nadu under Act no.9 of 2012 and is one of the premier law universities in India. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recognized and approved TNNLU under Section 2(f) and under Section 12 (b) of the UGC Act, 1956.
The degrees offered by TNNLU are recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). TNNLU is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), a permanent institutional member of Indian Academy of Social Sciences and a member of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute. The University has been empanelled by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) in the year 2017.
About the Competition
TNNLU through its Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) aims at promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms and nurturing a strong ADR culture among the upcoming members of the legal fraternity.
In pursuance of its goal, ADRC, TNNLU is organizing the 2nd TNNLU National Med-Arb Competition, 2020 (31st January-2nd February 2020).
The competition is based on a distinct hybrid of mediation and arbitration where mediation will be followed by arbitration on the same problem. The theme for this edition of the competition is Sports Med-Arb.
Eligibility
Law students (3 years LL.B. and 5 years LL.B.) from across India.
Registration Details
The provisional registration for the event is open. Pre-registration will close on 18th October 2019 and the registration with payment process will begin on the same day.
The deadline for registration with payment is 1st November 2019. The problem will be released on the 20th of October 2019.
Events Date
The dates of the competition are 31st January- 2nd February 2020.
