ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Gujarat Law Society Gujarat Law Society (GLS), established in 1927, is a pioneer educational institution in the state of Gujarat (India). It was founded by three eminent freedom fighters and legal luminaries Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel, Shri G.V. Mavlankar, and Shri I. M. Nanavati. Currently GLS is headed by Shri Sudhir Indravadan Nanavati, an eminent advocate of the country. GLS has grown from a single law college to 34 institutions ranging from preparatory schools to post-graduate colleges in diverse areas such as arts, commerce, law, management, computer applications and professional courses
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
GLS Law College shall be organizing the International Conference on the theme “Green Justice: Contemporary Challenges of Environment & Sustainable Development to be held from 29th February to 1st March 2020. The Proposed Conference would be of multidisciplinary nature where there would be a great opportunity.
Hence, the proposed theme “Green Justice: Contemporary Challenges of Environment & Sustainable Development” completely justifies the objectives of the conference and also provides a scientific platform to review our contribution towards our environment
ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION
This conference welcomes lawyers, academicians, activists, social scientists, members of NOGs, regulators, engineers and technocrats, Management professionals, economic experts, health professionals, students and researchers as well to present their views and exchange their experiences from respective field shaving a co-relation with the core environmental domain
IMPORTANT DATES:
a) Last date for submission of abstract: August 20, 2019
b) Notification for acceptance of abstract: August 25, 2019
c) Last date of registration:
- September 05, 2019 (Early Registration)
- September 25, 2019 (Delayed Registration with late fee)
d) Last date for submission of full paper: October 31, 2019
PAPER SUBMISSION IN THE CONFERENCE
Participants can submit the following academic works in the conference.
a) Research paper
b) Case studies
c) Analytical papers
d) Review of published works
e) Survey result and data analysis
PAPER PRESENTATION All the accepted papers can be presented orally or by the poster presentation in the conference
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
a) Submission of Abstract with maximum word limit is 250-300 words.
b) Joint authorship is permitted to a maximum of two authors. However, both authors need to register separately. At least one author must attend the conference to present the paper.
c) Submissions are to be made in electronic form only and are to be mailed to greenjusticeconference@gmail.com
d) A cover letter mentioning the Name of the Author(s), Professional Position/Course/ Year of Study (as applicable), Name of the Institution/ College/University, Postal 7 Address, Email Address and Contact Number must be submitted with the paper as well.
e) The full paper must be of 3000-5000 words (excluding footnotes/endnotes/annexure reports etc.). The main text should be in Times New Roman with font size 12 and line spacing of 1.5.
f) The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with spacing of1.0.
g) One inch margins should be maintained on all four sides, following the Citation Style: Bluebook, 19th Edition.
h) Full paper has to be submitted in soft copy in PDF and MS Word.
i) All paper presenters shall be issued Presentation Certificates.
BEST PAPER AWARD
The papers are to be sent for expert review and participants will be accordingly informed. Papers of GLS Law College faculty member and students will be excluded from the best paper awards due to the intrinsic conflict of interests.
