Seminar on Changing Dimensions of Consumer Law

The Progressive Education Society’s, Modern Law College, Pune 16 is one of the premier
legal educational institute in Maharashtra situated close to the “Oxford of the East” the
Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The college is Permanently affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University. All the courses are approved by University, which include Degree programs LL.B. (3 years) & B.A. LL.B (5 years.), Masters in Laws (LL.M.) and various Diploma programs and certificate programs.

In pursuance of the academic activities and for promoting research culture the College is organising a State Level Seminar in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University, under the Quality Improvement Programme on the topic “Changing Dimensions of Consumer Law”.

There has been a Consumer Protection Bill which is planning to overhaul the existing Consumer Protection Act, 1986. On the wake of this paradigm shift in the provisions of this legislation, there needs to be a deliberation in the academic and professional arena. Taking this into consideration P.E. Society’s Modern Law College has organised the above mentioned Seminar.
