ABOUT:
College of Legal Studies, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies is proud to host the 7th edition of Dr. Paras Diwan Memorial International ‘Energy Law’ Moot Court Competition (PDIMCC), India’s only international moot court competition based on international energy law. The moot is scheduled to be held from 7th to 9th April, 2017.
The first 4 editions of the moot compromis focused on the issues of ‘Production Sharing Agreements’. Whereas, in the 5th edition (2015) of PDIMCC the focus was on ‘Cross-border disputes under international energy laws’. Further, the 6th edition (2016) was focused primarily on the issues of ‘International Nuclear Law’.
The 6th edition of PDIMCC, which was held in the month of April, 2016, witnessed participation of 30 National and 2 International universities.
The Organising Committee of UPES has always endeavored to achieve higher standards with respect to every aspect of the competition, ranging from the quality of the moot problem to that of the judges and to ensure impeccable hospitality and professionalism. We cordially invite your institution to be a part of this experience and participate in the 7th edition of PDIMCC.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- 10th October, 2016- Release of Moot Compromis, rules and schedule of the Competition.
- 21st October, 2016- Last date for Provisional Registration (e-mail to- mootcourt@ddn.upes.ac.in)
- 26th November, 2016- Last date for registration
- 25th February, 2017- Last date for the submission of memorial
- 7th -9th April, 2017- Dates of the competition
To provisionally register your University, you are required to send an e-mail showing your willingness to participate in the competition (to mootcourt@ddn.upes.ac.in), after which we shall revert with the necessary information.
