About:
The ILS Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (ILSCA) in association with the Peacekeeping and Conflict Resolution Team (PACT) is pleased to announce the 3rd edition of INTERCESSIONIS, The ILSCA-PACT Community Mediation Competition. It is India’s only Community based Mediation Competition and it will provide the participants with an opportunity to test their core mediation skills and experience model community mediation sessions through rounds of competitive simulations.
This competition will witness 16 teams from across the country pitch their skills to tackle tactfully-drafted competition problems. The tournament aims to highlight the role of the mediator, the disputing party and the counsel in a community mediation session.
Dates:
January 31, 2020 to February 3, 2020.
Venue:
ILS Law College, Pune.
Topic:
The Competition shall be based on the theme “Community based Mediation”.

Problems:
General Information of the problems for preliminary rounds, quarter-final round, semis-final round and final rounds will be posted on the Facebook page FOR LINK, CLICK HERE and on the official website FOR WEBSITE, CLICK HERE.
Registration:
The teams can register through Google forms FOR GOOGLE FORM, CLICK HERE .
The link shall be active from 3 pm, 15th November, 2019 to 11:59, 5th December, 2019.
Selection Criteria:
- It is the discretion of the organizing committee to decide which teams are eligible to
participate in the competition upon reviewing the skills of the entire team in the field of ADR. Hence, it is advised that the teams make sure they state their ADR experience carefully.
- The Final list of participating teams will be announced on 8thDecember, 2019 on college website, Facebook page and the selected teams shall also be mailed accordingly.
Registration fees:
Upon acceptance of the team by the Organizing Committee, the team must pay the full registration fees which is Rs.15000/- plus GST(18%) per team within the deadline as stated in the confirmation mail. There will be no refund of the registration fee in any circumstances, unless the competition is called off due to unforeseen events and the reason for the same will be provided by the Organizing Committee.
Important Dates:
- Activation of the Link of the Google Form for Registration: November 15, 2019.
- Last Date for Registrations: December 5, 2019.
- Last Date for Withdrawal: December 12, 2019.
- Release of the Final List of Participating Teams in the Competition: December 8, 2019.
- Last Day for seeking Clarifications: January 20, 2020.
- Release of Clarifications: January 25, 2020.
Awards and Prizes:
The Organizers shall acknowledge the participation of all the teams, team members, coaches and assessors at the competition with appropriate tokens of appreciation. Certificates shall be provided to all those who have registered with the Competition.
