This year, the NLIU ADRC is looking forward to hosting the 2nd NLIU-Khaitan International Negotiation Competition, which will take place in 2021. Law students from all over the world will compete in this tournament, which is done in collaboration with Khaitan & Co. The Tournament will take the form of a commercial negotiation, with two members from each participating team, namely the Client and the Counsel, like in the previous edition.
We would like to limit the number of teams to 24 due to technological challenges with Virtual Rounds. Teams will be shortlisted based on previous experiences and academic leaning toward ADR.
Further Details
Since its foundation, the NLIU ADRC has established itself as a leader in the fields of arbitration, mediation, and negotiation. We try to encourage and promote student participation in arbitration, negotiations, and mediation agreements in order to develop critical skills needed in the real world. We believe strongly in the notion of “learning outside the four walls of a classroom.” We are one of Asia’s oldest ADR Committees, offering a variety of seminars and training sessions on mediation and negotiation for both vocational and tournament-based operations, as well as organising the Intra College Participant’s Pool cum Tournament.
Note:- Please note that only one team from each university will be eligible to submit at this time, and the tournament will feature 24 shortlisted teams. However, if spaces are added subsequently at the discretion of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Cell, National Law Institute University, Bhopal, you will be notified, and such additional teams will be shortlisted using the same criteria used to screen the initial 24 teams.
