Act 16 of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha established the Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla (HPNLU) in 2016. HPNLU has been proactive in taking initiatives that help learners improve their academic potential.
HPNLU has been actively using digital platforms to raise awareness about issues relating to various legal fields such as fundamental duties, reproductive rights of women, human rights and access to justice, and so on.
Concerning the Competition
The competition is a flagship event designed to instill mooting culture and provide opportunities for students to learn the development of jurisprudence on emerging trends in constitutional law, as well as to arm the next generation of legal professionals with research and oratory skills.
The competition will be divided into two stages:
Round I is the Memorial Elimination Round, followed by Round II, which is the Oral Rounds.
Eligibility
The competition is only open to genuine undergraduate law students pursuing a three-year or five-year LL.B. degree programme at any Bar Council of India recognised university.
For this competition, each institution can only register ONE TEAM.
