ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

The concept of ‘Symbiosis’ is nurtured by Dr. S. B. Mujumdar (Chancellor Symbiosis International Deemed University) on the principles of Vedic thought ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ which means ‘World as One Family’.

Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Hyderabad is established in 2014 inheriting splendid novelty, dynamism and excellence in the education of Symbiosis International Deemed University, Pune.

Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice is a centre for the specialization of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad. It functions with the objective to work as a resource centre in the field of Criminology and Criminal Justice and strives to be an adequate resource centre not just to the students of law but to everyone possible in order to enable a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of the Criminal Justice System and its various stakeholders.

ABOUT THE TRAINING PROGRAMME

Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad and Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice presents its 2nd Edition of National Training Programme on Criminology and Forensic Science to be held from 9-12th January 2020 to discuss and impart knowledge on Finger Print Examination, Handwriting Examination, Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Anthropology.

The Course offers 28 hours of teaching theoretical and practical aspects of Finger Print Examination, Handwriting Examination, Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Anthropology, followed by 2 hours of evaluation after completion of the course. The mode of assessment for the course includes both practical and written test.

This course will benefit the students, academicians and professionals in understanding key concepts of Criminology and Forensic Science and would especially benefit the students who in future would be working in the field of Criminal Law. The programme would also help them in sensitizing the need for and importance of criminology and forensic science.

ELIGIBILITY

A Full time under-graduate, post-graduate, PhD. Research Scholars from colleges/institutes/universities belonging to the broad disciplines of Law & Social Science and Professionals working in the field are eligible to apply.

SELECTION PROCESS

The participants will be selected on the basis of their Statement of Interest. The number of participants is restricted to only 100 for the programme. Fifty seats for the participants from across the country and fifty seats are reserved for the students of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad

FEE DETAILS

Registration Fee for the participants including accommodation (Double sharing) and food for the selected participants within India is Rs. 3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only). Registration Fee is inclusive of GST. The payment details will be shared with participants after the completion of his/her registration.
