About the organizer
University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) was established as the constituent department of Panjab University, in the academic session 2004-05. During a short span of time, it has emerged as one of the premier legal Institute with a unique blend of tradition and modernity.
About the event
The Alternative Dispute Resolution and Client Counseling Board, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, came into its existence in the year 2017 and since then the board has been instrumental in organizing various Intra Department and National level competitions. The board is proud to present its second edition of Justice A.S. Anand National Meditation and Negotiation Competition, 2019.

Team information
- Each team shall comprise of three students consisting of one Mediator and two members acting as the client-counsel pair (referred to as the “Negotiators/Negotiating Team”).
- One member of the team will be designated as the Mediator, whose role shall remain unchanged throughout the Competition.
- The other two members of the team will form the Negotiating Team, representing a Client and his/her Counsel respectively. The respective roles cannot be interchanged during the entire competition.
- The two mediators in one competition session will be from different teams.
- The two mediators in one competition session for all purposes will be referred to as Mediator 1 (M1) and Mediator 2 (M2) as designated in the matchups.

- An email confirmation from the participating institutions and soft copies of their Registration Form and Demand Draft is expected before the 21st October 2019 to be sent at uilsnationaladr@gmail.com
- Registration Fee of Rs. 5000/– (inclusive of the accommodation cost) must be received by the Organizer along with the Registration Form in the form of a
- Demand Draft in the name of ‘Director, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh’ via a post on or before 29th October 2019 in order to confirm participation for the competition, failing to do so the registration shall be deemed to be cancelled.
Note: The last date of registration along with the Demand Draft is 29th October 2019, and in no case, the registrations will be accepted after the last date.
Fee Details
- Justice A.S. Anand National Meditation and Negotiation Competition, 2019: Rs. 5000/-(inclusive of the accommodation cost) per team (the team will consist of a maximum of three members).
- Registration Fee has to be sent along with the Registration Form in the form of a Demand Draft in the name of ‘Director, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh’ via a post on or before 29th October 2019.
Time Limit and Registration
The teams will be registered on ‘first come first served’ basis. The registration is restricted to 24 teams only for the Justice A.S. Anand National Meditation and Negotiation Competition, 2019.
The last date for provisional registration via email, for the event, is October 15, 2019, and for the final registration (soft copy only) is October 21, 2019. The official email address for the same is uilsnationaladr@gmail.com.
