GD Goenka University is a private university located in Sohna, Haryana, India. It was established in 2013 by the GD Goenka Group through The Haryana Private Universities Act, 2013. The GD Goenka Group was founded by Shri A.K. Goenka. School of Law, GD Goenka University is organizing its 1st Virtual National Trial Advocacy Competition, 2023 scheduled to be held from May 12 to 13, 2023.
What Are The Details Of The Competition?
- Date of the event:12th-13th May 2023
- Mode: Online
- Eligibility: Students pursuing a 3-Year L.L.B. Degree Course or a 5-Year Integrated and LL.B. Degree Course from the colleges recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate in the competition.
- Team composition:
- The maximum number of participants per team shall be restricted to 3 members wherein 2 members will be Speakers and 1 member shall be a Researcher.
- Only the Participant who is a Speaker in all four- Preliminary, Quarter Final, Semi-Final and Final rounds shall be eligible for the award of the Best Speaker.
- The identity of the team [name of the Law College / School / University] must not be disclosed to the Judges as well as to the other Participating Teams. Any such disclosure shall lead to disqualification.
- The substitution of any member is not allowed except with the prior approval of the Administrators.
- Language of the competition: English

- Registration process: All teams must upload a scanned copy of the receipt generated on completion of the NEFT transfer or UPI on the Registration Form. The receipt must contain the reference number after the completion of the wire transfer of the registration fees.
- Awards:
- Winner- 25,000/- + Trophy + Certificate
- Runners up- 15,000/- + Trophy + Certificate
- Best Speaker- 8,000/- + Trophy+ Certificate
- Online Certificates for participation will be given to all the participants. Certificates will be accessible only after the valedictory ceremony.
Note: Certificates for Quarter-Finalists, Semi-Finalists, Runners-up, Winners and Best Speaker will also be provided after they fill up an additional form for their prizes & Cash awards will be sent after getting details of winners such as Institution ID card, PAN Card & Bank Account details for which they will be contacted via email by the Moot Court Committee.
