About the Organizers

JAS is a legal policy building think-tank in Kolkata and Delhi, India with global collaborations working on various legal aspects.

For this programme, it has been supported by Dr. Aman Hingorani, who is a lawyer and mediator in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, India. Dr Hingorani has also acted as an arbitrator and as adjunct faculty to teach law students and run training courses for judicial officers, lawyers and law teachers.

Dr. Hingorani has been invited to address national and international audiences, including various stakeholders, on the Kashmir issue, and will be the Chief Speaker at the said event, which is also being graced by several other globally eminent personalities.

The knowledge partner for the event is the Department of Law, University of North Bengal. Since its inception in 1962, it has been fulfilling the objectives of imparting higher education and research to the people of this socio-economically backward area of the country.

The International Youth Journal is acting as our media partner for the event. The IYJ offers interested youths the unique possibility to publish articles online on an international level!

Youth Opportunities Nepal a.k.a. YO Nepal is another one of our partners for the event. It is an online-based youth community that was started in July 2018 from Global Ambassador Program started by a leading opportunity sharing platform Youth Opportunities (based in Bangladesh).

The Indo-European Chamber of Small & Medium Enterprises (IECSME) promotes and develops the exchange of information, experiences, methodologies to help integration among European and Indian populations, stimulate the birth of partnership & to collaborate to sectoral based projects.

About the Conference

In light of the recent events that have been affecting international relations in and around South-Asia, JAS are pleased to bring to your notice, a humble student initiative in collaboration with Justice & Advocacy Simplified(JAS) and several other well-known organisations from around the world.

Call for Papers

For the Paper Presentation Competition, the last day of submission of the full paper is 25th September 2019. If your paper is selected as one of the winners, you will be conveyed the same within 11:59 p.m. on 26th September 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Open to all citizens of SAARC Nations!
  2. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ALLOW A MAXIMUM OF TWO CO-AUTHORS FOR ONE PAPER.
  3. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WORD LIMIT FOR THE PAPER IS 3000-5000 WORDS.
  4. PLEASE DO NOT SEND OR SUBMIT RESEARCH PAPERS UNLESS NOTIFIED ABOUT YOUR SELECTION TO ATTEND.
  5. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SUBJECT OF THE RESEARCH PAPER, IF SUBMITTED, MUST BE CENTERED AROUND THE
  6. TOPIC OF DISCUSSION AT THE CONFERENCE – “Countries Beyond Borders – International Border Disputes(Special
  7. Focus on the recent Constitutional changes in India and the Kashmir Issue.)
  8. Other details regarding the deadlines, etc. shall be informed to registered participants via e-mail.
